Bob Bjorseth is a Vice President of Wealth Management at Bukaty Companies Financial Services with more than 21 years experience providing critical and strategic financial advice to executives and corporate clients. Prior to joining Bukaty Companies, Bob worked with A.G. Edwards and Smith Barney as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Managing Director. Bob lives in Leawood with his wife Kelly and three boys Jake, Ben and Bobby.

Prior to joining Resources and Financial Elements, Brandon spent three years with Fidelity Investments working on asset acquisition, guidance and planning, and customer service.

Jason Hoffman, AIF®

VICE PRESIDENT

Jason Hoffman serves as Vice President of Bukaty Companies Financial Services, bringing more than 14 years of experience in the consulting field of retirement plan design, investment monitoring and administration to the firm. His duties include business development, marketing and overseeing day-to-day servicing operations of the Retirement Plan Services division.

As a consultant, he manages vendor searches, implementation timelines and conversion teams, plan design assistance, industry and market analysis and develops written communication plans. Hoffman also educates on fiduciary services in an effort to help clients stay compliant with various fiduciary standards and best practices including development of investment policy statements, on-going investment analysis and demographics analysis. He has a vast knowledge of retirement plans from the start-up phase to ongoing day-to-day operations. His strengths include employee communication, plan design education and assisting participants with the education process.

Krystle Kaufman, CPFA

RETIREMENT PLAN CONSULTANT

Krystle Kaufman is a Retirement Plan Consultant at Bukaty Companies Financial Services. She is a second generation financial planner who brings more than eight years of industry expertise to the firm. In her role, Krystle focuses solely on helping institutional clients with 401(k)s, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, ERISA and Non-ERISA 403(b) plans. Her responsibilities include providing in-depth retirement plan consulting to plan fiduciaries by offering a comprehensive array of services, all designed to help clients address fiduciary requirements entailed by offering a qualified retirement plan.

As an investment fiduciary to her corporate plans, Krystle helps plan sponsors identify unseen or unknown risks. After having held thousands of group meetings and one‐on‐one sessions, she is skilled in helping plans in their efforts to increase both deferral and participation rates for employees. Krystle has a passion for helping individual employees become more educated about savings, investments and subsequently guiding them to pursue their retirement goals. Krystle is also a regular speaker at conferences and forums where she shares her knowledge about the roles and responsibilities of retirement plan fiduciaries.

Prior to joining Bukaty Companies, Krystle worked as a wealth advisor for United Capital Financial Advisors, where she serviced the firm’s existing book of clients with excellent customer services, implemented new ideas, originated new business and provided comprehensive financial planning for individual high-net-worth individuals.

Mark Beaton, CPFA

VICE PRESIDENT, RETIREMENT PLAN CONSULTANT

Mark Beaton is Vice President, Retirement Plan Consultant with Bukaty Companies Financial Services. A native of England, Mark immigrated to the United States in 1996. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Aeronautics, with a minor in Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. During his career as a commercial pilot, he was introduced to the Ziegler Companies where he began his financial services career as a Municipal Bond Broker.

In 2011, Mark co-founded Strategic Insurance Consultants (SIC) which specializes in benefit consulting for Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and Administrative Services Outsourcing (ASO). Mark became the Director of the Retirement Plan Consulting Division. The Benefits and Retirement Division of SIC merged with GCG Financial in 2013, where Mark designed, implemented and maintained one of the largest PEO/ASO in the Front Range. Mark joined Bukaty in 2015 when Bukaty became the investment advisor to the PEO/ASO. He earned the designation of CPFA (Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor) in the spring of 2016. In 2017, 2018 and 2019 Mark has been recognized for the prestigious “Young Guns Top 40 Advisors Under 40” award through the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA).

When Mark is not working as a Retirement Plan Consultant he likes riding dirt bikes. He is the Board Vice President of a 501(c)(3) which stewards land management for the Rampart Range area of the Pike National Forest. As a passion, Mark flies regularly with the Aspen Flying Club and likewise, he enjoys camping, snowboarding and spending time with family. Mark and his wife, Lisa, are the proud parents of two boys.

Scott brings over 23 years of experience working with both individual and institutional investors. Prior to joining Bukaty Companies Financial Services, he served as Vice President for Manning & Napier Advisors, where he consulted to plan sponsors and institutional clients around life cycle and target date investment strategies. Scott also brings a wealth of experience gained by working with structured products as First Vice President of Advisors Asset Management and with institutional asset management firms as Vice President of the Managed Account Consulting groups.

Scott serves as a Vice President in our Wealth Management Division and as a member of our Investment Policy Committee. He also spends time consulting directly to our plan participants helping them create a plan to fund their retirement goals, as well as working with families in the areas of investment, retirement and estate planning.

Scott earned the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM designation from the College for Financial Planning. The CRPS mark indicates expertise in designing, implementing and servicing qualified and non qualified plans. He received his B.A. in History from California State University, Bakersfield.

In his role, Vince is tasked with the overall growth strategy and vision of the company. He leads corporate strategy, manages the day-to-day operations and still serves as the lead advisor to some key client relationships. Vince oversees multiple divisions under the financial services umbrella including the firm’s Resources Investment Advisors, Inc., its third party administration firm, Retirement Plan Administration, Inc. and its affiliate services program. Vince works to ensure that Bukaty Companies Financial Services remains competitively positioned to serve its clients’ needs in an ever changing regulatory environment and evolving market place.

As a nationally recognized leader in the field of retirement plans for companies and their executives, Vince has been a valuable resource for other successful entrepreneurs. Christy Vitale

As Senior Client Relationship Manager for Bukaty Companies Financial Services, Christy brings more than 23 years of experience in the Wealth Management and 401(k) Plan Administration Industry. She joined Bukaty in 2010 with the merger of Bukaty Companies and O’Renick Companies/Resources Investment Advisors, and had been with O’Renick Companies since 2006. She truly enjoys working closely with both new, and many long-time, wealth management clients. She provides superior customer service and support to wealth management clients, advisors, and assists with compliance and oversight of the Wealth Management team.

Prior to Christy’s positions with Bukaty/O’Renick in Kansas City, she lived in the St. Louis area and worked for 10 years as an Assistant Director of a large 401(k) plan. Christy holds her Series 65 securities registration as an Investment Advisor Representative.

Emily Richardson serves as a Staff Accountant for Bukaty Companies Financial Services. In this role, Emily is responsible for processing commissions, maintaining and developing RAPP, invoicing, billing, and other accounting duties. Garrett Brower

Garrett Brower joined Bukaty Financial Services in October 2015 as a Business Development Coordinator. His focus is assisting and overseeing the retirement plan sales process, sales strategy development, and ensuring all new clients are onboarding in a thorough, efficient manner. His day-to-day duties include managing client implementation and on-boarding, vendor searches, conducting employee education meetings, fee, and investment analysis, database management, and organizing client and prospecting events. He also works closely with the portfolio management team and the investment research process.

Jack Moderson

Jack Moderson joined Bukaty Financial Services in June 2016 as a Client Relationship Manager. He comes to Bukaty with several years of financial services experience and market knowledge. In addition to serving as the day-to-day contact for our plan sponsors and as an intermediary between the plan sponsor and recordkeeper, he manages vendor searches, investment monitoring, and helps clients stay compliance with various fiduciary best practices. He also works with participants with plan and account related questions.

Prior to joining Bukaty Financial Services, he assisted high net worth and brokerage clients at American Century Investments with respect to their retirement investment portfolios. Mr. Moderson has successfully passed the FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 examinations. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Finance from Auburn University.

Prior to Resources, she served as the Compliance Manager-VP and Anti-Money Laundering Officer of Scout Investments, Inc., and Fund Secretary for Scout Funds.

Katie Kirchner

VICE PRESIDENT OF CLIENT SERVICES

Katie Kirchner brings 10 years of industry experience to Bukaty Companies Financial Services where she serves as Vice President of Client Services. Katie is responsible for the daily oversight and leadership of the Retirement Plan and Wealth Management service teams, in addition to providing support to the team in meeting established service level requirements through workflow coordination, scheduling, training and process improvement. In addition, she is responsible for providing a positive experience for retirement plan consulting clients through the development and maintenance of strong relationships where she serves as the liaison between the plan sponsor, recordkeeper and retirement plan consultant to help resolve any plan administration or participant matters. Prior to joining Bukaty Companies Financial Services in 2010, Katie spent several years in the banking industry. Katie received her bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Iowa; she currently holds a Series 65 designation. Outside of work, Katie enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, including 6-year old twins Maddie and Nolan.

Phil Troyer serves as Resources’ Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for the firm’s overall compliance with federal and state investment laws. Phil has been a licensed attorney for over 20 years​​. H​is prior experience includes serving as General Counsel for NRP Financial and NRP Advisors, a broker-dealer and investment adviser owned by National Retirement Partners​, as well as managing his own national ERISA practice​, which have made him a ​recognized thought leader in the retirement plan industry.​

​In addition, Phil is able to draw upon his past experience in insurance, litigation, contract interpretation, and corporate law to assist the firm and its practice leaders with managing the risks associated with their businesses.

Shannon Ryan provides annual plan administration services and technical compliance support to employers who sponsor qualified retirement plans. This includes an in-depth understanding of the complexities of all facets of administering qualified retirement plans. Prepare all financial, regulatory and operational reporting for qualified retirement plans including, but not limited to: trust accounting, compliance testing, 5500 preparation and preparation of plan documents.

Shannon has worked in the retirement industry for 14 years, prior to joining Bukaty spent 11 years working at Empower Retirement. Shannon enjoys the outdoors, she likes hiking, camping and boating. Shannon enjoys spending time with her family and running her kids around to all their activities.
